GALA’s ambition is to promote growth, innovation and corporate stewardship by supporting a clearer, more consistent and science-based understanding of antioxidants and light stabilizers.
These technologies are essential to the performance and durability of many plastic products. Antioxidants help protect polymers from oxidative degradation caused by heat, air and everyday use, while light stabilizers help reduce damage associated with sunlight and UV exposure.
GALA’s regulatory and scientific objectives include demonstrating safe handling throughout the product lifecycle, developing reliable scientific and socio-economic evidence, assessing substitutability and performance, and supporting appropriate risk-management decisions.
Through its membership in GALA, ADEKA contributes to a global platform that connects industry expertise with regulatory and scientific dialogue. Together, GALA members seek to ensure that decisions affecting antioxidants and light stabilizers are informed by robust evidence, transparent communication and a comprehensive understanding of their benefits, performance and applications.
